I don't... I really don't care. Weddings do nothing for me, I have no interest in the Royals and I am unlikely to start buying wedding souveniers ( can you imagine the tat, sweatshops all over the far east must by rubbing their hands together with glee ).
I would have been more impressed if they just announced that they had already been married for 3 years, or had decided to just 'live in sin'. The Guardian is trying to intelectualise it with an article about Royal Weddings in Austerity times - the Mail has a 500page souvenier pullout... and has already asked Elizabet Emannuel to design a dress.... the Sport has already speculated as to when he's going to take her 'up the aisle', but I just don't give a toss.
I expect we will get a day off.... that's something... and a mug.... a mug would be nice.

Pathetically, I'm quite pleased; partly because it makes us less likely to become a republic.
With a few exceptions, I hate politicians with a passion and the thought of any of them being head of state is enough to turn me into a flag-waving monarchist.
