Sainsbury's are selling liters of Innocent smoothie at 2 for 1, which works out at about £1.65 each - which is an excellent price - and COOP Fair Trade ordinary ground coffee - which is lovely - is half price at about £1.07 per pack - I bought 10. Debenhams are also running a 20 - 25% off sale to kick start xmas, and that means about £15 quid off a pair of Levis. They also have lots of decent jumpers at very low prices. Not that I have any money... but you might have.
I need a new USB stick and an adapter for my hard drive to connect to the new style macs in college, that's enough expediture for me.
In bad news - Sarah Palin has started to make serious overtures towards the presidency.... although if she runs true to form, she will do badly and that will be the end of that, it's only a matter of time before they find her under the sink drinking lighter fuel.
I've tried really hard ( well... no ) and I still can't get interested in the 'wedding' - although I'm starting to see it as a potential tie-in with the Olympics - 2 for 1 merchandising deals - get a mascot and a Cappi-di-Monto porcelaine princess, that sort of thing. It there is one thing the British do well, it's tat.... I'm almost looking forward to some of the retail abominations. I wonder if we will be expected to put up bunting? I have a feeling sales of Red / White and Blue tulip bulbs have already gone through the roof.
Reminds me of the newspaper story about a bloke who was forced to leave the marital home after a divorce - in the spring his wife was able to open the bedroom window and see the word 'Bitch' neatly picked out in daffodils on the lawn.
I'm in a good mood today. It won't last - but it's a nice start to the day.
