10 Rillington Place-on-Sea

I'm going to have to biblical in the kitchen - I think the 'visitor' is dead and walled up somewhere. The combination of odour and flies is a good clue. To make it worse it could be in either the facing wall or the roof space - and I can't face stripping all that off. How long before a body stops smelling? I wish I had a wider social circle and knew someone who could answer these questions. Perhaps it's the sort of thing I could ask NHS Direct? I've spoken to a few people who have been in this situation and they have all sighed and told me I have to face up to the inevitable and let nature take it's course - eating out as much as possible.

In other news, I'm probably going to the Morrissey Disco in Claremont at the weekend, I've not been to one for some years ( I grew up ), but I've just loaned Michelle G a stack of Morrissey ticket stubs from 1990 - 2002 ( about 30 ) to do something creative with. as I was feeling kindly I gave her a big torn strip from the shirt he was wearing in Bradford ( October 31st 2002 ). Gucci, Black - still smelling strongly of aftershave and with a pleated dress-front detail. very nice. She can keep it under her pillow or something.

I was going to do another Tony Blair piss-take later but, in truth.... the real thing is so absurd and comic there is no need. The description of his 'animal' passion for Cherie made my blood run cold.

"On that night of 12 May 1994, I needed that love Cherie gave me, selfishly. I devoured it to give me strength. I was an animal following my instinct, knowing I would need every ounce of emotional power and resilience to cope with what lay ahead."

it takes a VERY LONG TIME for the smell to go. I had a dead mouse in the guest bathroom and it took months for the smell to go completely. The first two weeks were worst, after that it got bearable but still rank and that was just a teeny weeny mouse......
