Railway sleeper terracing

Quite an achievement - and very popular with the dogs.

Your garden looks spookily similar to ours in layout and gradient - I wish I'd thought of railway sleepers. I've just given in and had decking on the middle level - a bit of a home makeover programme cliche, but I'm past caring.

That looks wonderful ... rather cool & exotic ...

S - I used to have decking on the level outside the kitchen, aside from the fact it went green and very slippy in the wet winters, whoever put it down blocked the drains and I eventually realised that large volumes of rainwater was pouring into the house under the dining room.

A - yes, I like evergreens - this lot looks just as good in the winter as the summer - and as I've never really been able to get my head around flowers, I don't feel as if I'm missing anything!
