Monday

An entire day in the hipster-hellmouth. Had 3 meetings - 2 with the same client, on opposite sides of town - so much too-ing and fro-ing.

The journey there was fine, the train full of very posh schoolchildren - as it was on the way back. On my return journey - two girls aged about 8 were playing a strange and very noisy game - they had to shout out the name of somewhere they had visited and clap, these two had been to pretty much everywhere, including Croatia, Cap-ferrat and Sharm el Sheikh.

Brighton was MUCH hotter than Hastings - despite being hardly any distance, and full to the brim with people - all of whom seemed to be shopping furiously. Every available inch in Brighton is now retail or overpriced entertainment. It's Monday lunchtime and people are lining the pavements on cafe chairs drinking wine and eating seafood. There is also a giant new extension to the shopping centre in the middle with a huge new Top Man and Top Shop. I saw one particularly annoying girl shopping with a surfboard under her arm.

I managed to get home in one piece - but I was exhausted. I'm going to bed early.
