You know when you get trendy interiors mags, and they have a feature wall where the plaster has been removed and the bricks scrubbed and airbrushed - looks great - but don't try to do it yourself. May never enjoy full lung capacity again. At least it was cheaper than re-plastering.
Still have a rotten cold, and now a cough. Have just finished writing a long and very uptight formal objection to a strip club a few doors away from my studio. Managed to pack just about everything I could possibly think of into it.
During my wire-brushing-of-a-brick-wall episode, I had time to dwell on my dental woes again - every time I go there, no matter how hard I try, how many times a day I brush my teeth, how many visits I make to the hygenist and the dentist - there is always something I've been doing wrong. I might as well have all my teeth pulled, they clearly have no confidence in my keeping them.
Spoke to my client earlier and have to work tomorrow and Monday - then I'm in London on and off for a week - staying in Hotels and judging the ISTD awards - which I'm actually REALLY looking forward to - but will probably need a holiday after.
The Servant, one of my favourite films - is now 50 years old. Still too modern for many people. I might watch it later.
