.... say what?

I'm at work today - and in an idle moment - decided to go through my blog to decide if I suspend the comments for a while - due to the amount of annoying spam I get, and stumbled across this little missive from 'anonymous'. It came after I'd questioned the number of Catholic mass services, including Westminster Cathedral - for the nurse who died last week - when, as I remember it - suicide is a mortal sin and she is condemned to hell - by her fellow catholics. I say fellow catholics, because - despite being from 'India' - her name is Saldanha - which is a Portuguese name - as anyone who went to school should know - there have been quite a few famous Saldanahs over the centuries - and generally - being from a Catholic country... they are Catholic. There was, of course - a huge influence held by Portugal over India for many years, Southern India in particular - so - you know... 'do the fucking math' as the young folks say.

I doubt that you are a regular reader of this blog, or you would have picked up on some of my personal political leanings - or perhaps you are just trying to wind me up - I don't care, I really don't.

So - you can imagine that I was just a tad confused by your comment 'whatever Indian's are'. Well - it's a the 7th largest democratic country in the world, with 1.2 billion inhabitants, all different, with a rich and vibrant culture spanning at least 4,500 years and:

" - India is notable for its religious diversity, with Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity, and Jainism among the nation's major religions.[255] The predominant religion, Hinduism, has been shaped by various historical schools of thought, including those of the Upanishads,[256] the Yoga Sutras, the Bhaktimovement,[255] and by Buddhist philosophy.[257]"

I suspect that anonymous postings on strange blogs are the only place left for people like you to express your stupidity without getting punched or laughed at. I can't be bothered with your stupid comment about nurses - it does not warrant a response. Please - do me a favour, go away  - and don't come back, your sort aren't wanted here. (hmm... where have I heard that before??? )
