.. bump into the people I bought my house from, I can't be held responsible for my actions.
I've wasted another day in the loft - a whole half of the loft is over the main bedroom - years ago they had a new roof and some chimney repairs, and decided to fill the gaps between the timber work with rubble and broken tiles - every last bit had to be removed by hand and bagged up before I could insulate. A whole day wasted - hands wrecked, bad back, burning skin and sore throat.
Just on the radio - 10% of all mortgages in Ireland are in arrears. Depressing.
Good riddance to Comet - terrible retail store. I was in one at the weekend - impossible to navigate, surly staff, too much product, badly displayed, over priced, rubbish. The local Comet has a very low ceiling, products stacked together in piles so you can't really look at them, fridges stacked on top of freezers - but no indication as to which is which - totally depressing and really poor - that's why people shop online.
By the way - I never did get a response from PC Word after I complained about the poor service - no surprises there.
Horrible weather - and one HUGE clap of random thunder in the early afternoon - probably going to be the same tomorrow in London - not really looking forward to it. I have a lunch appointment and then a meeting at 3pm - hardly worth the bother - can't think of a single thing I want to do in London to make up the time.
Dawn French on the radio earlier - talking about her new book, sounded dreadful - she sounded dreadful - really annoying - every sentence sounded like a publicist had written it for her, why do famous people think they can just 'become' novelists, and why do they need us to like them. She sounded like she's been on a coule of creative writing courses and was very pleased with her own work - perhaps she got good marks.
I was walking the dogs earlier around Clive Vale and a youngish bloke in a tracksuit was walking a small english bull / staffie type cross. He looked like the archetypal thug with a devil dog, His dog saw mine and turned to watch us walk - this meant that the dog lost concentration, wasn't looking where he was going and smacked head first into the back of a parked car. The dog was dazed, but Ok - can't say the same for the owner - despite what he looked like, he was in pieces at the thought his dog had been hurt and was practically in tears - and carried her home.
