Sunday.

Some people find 'The Archers' Omnibus soothing - It's like nails on a blackboard to me - so I'm sitting in silence, listening to angry seagulls fight over roof space outside my office.

Very cold morning, clear and bright but frosty and still - it's right for the season, but a shame.

One of the things I need to do today is clean the decking on the kitchen patio - the area was decked out by the people who lived here before - I hate it, they managed to create a structure that has a 6 inch void beneath it - ideal for vermin, they didn't clean it out so every time it rains debris gets washed into the drain and blocks it - almost impossible to clear - so the space regularly fills with water and in winter - turns to 6 inches of ice. They managed to construct it in such a way ( deep set, headless screws ) that makes it impossible to remove without machinery - and every year a thick layer of green slimy algae and moss forms on the surface, making it impossible to walk on. I've bought a special implement with is essentially a broom handle with a wire brush on the end and I'm going to clean it and scrub the boards down later today - a dull job, but someone has to do it. I'd like to find a way to get it up so I can fill with gravel of pea shingle - they also blocked over the drain cover - if it gets blocked, I'm in trouble.

In a pretty good mood today. It won't last. Glad I didn't go out last night. Facebook is very quite, lots of sore heads - I think.

Daily Mail provided some amusement early on - a photograph of Daivd Mitchells wife, Victoria Corren - was actually a picture of David in full, tarty drag. If it were an accident - I'd be angry, if it were a sly dig at something ( we all know what utter cunts they are ) I'd be very pissed off.

I used to know a lot of people called Dave - I ended up having to give them nick names to remember them by ( Fat Dave, Gay Dave, Postman Dave, Angry Dave, Date-Rape Dave ... don't ask about the last one... ) - Now I seem to know a lot of people called Philip. I'll have to start thinking about that one.
