Friday Night

I could be out tonight, there was the PV of the Gillian Ayres retrospective at the Jerwood or a big thingy at Franks, but I'm much happier in front of a classic Hammer Horror on youtube.

Technically off today, but I went into work to look at a presentation before it goes off on Monday ( when I'm also off ) and do some copywriting - I've already found a couple of errors that need correcting by Monday morning.

Cycled along the seafront - it was windy but clear all afternoon - raining again now - the sea was very choppy and dramatic.

As it's a day off - I had a fancy lunch ( olives, haloumi olive bread etc ) and tonight I'm having Spanish smoked cheese, salami, olives and crackers with a bottle of Old Speckled Hen. Nice. Everything I ate today was reduced to half price, and probably cost less than M&S sandwiches.

I stopped off in St Leonards and went through all the charity shops, quite a lot of what I saw was unsellable - clothes that really needed to be burnt - but someone is bound to have a go at wearing them.

While I was riding along the seafront - a stupid woman cut me up in her car and could quite easily have killed me - she didn't even acknowledge me - I had to stop at the side of the road to pull myself together - it happens all the time, very few people indicate - and most people think cyclists are not worth caring about - a bloke saw the whole thing and came over to see if I was OK, and then started ranting about how insane the woman was. I was too stressed out to say anything. I had a lie down when I came home and fell asleep. Little Mouse has made another attempt to destroy the leather sofa - I'm going to have to ban her from the front room forever.

I have the weekend off, no work whatsoever - I'm lost! I could go out for the day tomorrow - Eastbourne or Brighton, see how I feel first thing.
