Thursday

2nd day off. No rain, went into town, picked up my bike and cycled to the retail park in Bexhill. Had a look around B&Q, and Currys, and Comet, and PC world. It's what normal people do most weekends, apparently. Freezers were more expensive than I anticipated - and Comet really, REALLY needs to do something about their graphics, as it's impossible to tell if the product you are running your fingers over is a fridge, a freezer, or a dishwasher.

Afterwards, I cycled along the seafront to TKMAx and bought some socks, and a jacket on the clearance rail that had been reduced from £175 to £22. It looked fantastic on me, having been carefully designed for a man with a less than impressive figure.

On the afternoon dog walk around Clive Vale I also noticed that there are loads of houses being renovated at the moment. A good sign, probably.

I'm at work tomorrow, we have loads to do and I need to get on with quite a few projects, 2 days off indulging in complete inactivity has left me exhausted - roll on the weekend.

In other news, I've got over the shock of the changes to my dental profile and I'm really, really happy with my new smile - it feels like 'me' now. Still got a bit of neuralga type pain in my face and head - but all settling down, I can brush my teeth properly from today and I will finish my meds tomorrow - so I can have a drink at the weekend if I feel so inclined.

Earlier today, I bought something referred to on the packaging as 'hunter's chicken' - it had been reduced to £2.50 and was to be the first meat I'd eaten in weeks. It was mostly 2 chicken breasts, wrapped in smoky bacon, with some grated cheese and a brown sauce. It was vile - the cheese burnt before the chicken cooked and the sauce tasted like burn offerings. back to vegetables. I've been buying Organic milk from the COOP - it's 20p per 2pts more expensive, but tastes like a completely different product. It's like 'real' milk - as opposed to white water.

While I was in PC world I looked at the iMacs - in particular, a 27inch model. It was staggeringly fast, responsive and chrystal clear - the power of the thing was frightening. I remember the computers I used to use to run my business on and was a tiny bit awed.
