Saturday

Having the day off, will work this evening and tomorrow - the house needs cleaning and I need to drag a load of stuff down from the loft to take to the studio.

Worked yesterday - as the sun shone outside - and I'll probably spend a bit of time in the garden today - if next door stops mowing their lawn - I've always hated that noise.

The big posh house behind me has sold - lovely victorian detached villa - I think it must be the family I saw last week ( children in jodphurs ).

Might actually read something later - picked up a Penguin copy of 'May we borrow your husband' last week in Oxfam and it's waiting to be read - and I have that Folio edition of Agatha Christie short stories to start.

Listened to Emma Thompson on women's hour talking about her 'reinvention' of Beatrix Potter books - is there no start to this woman's talents? It's been a vintage week - with the idiocy and self love from Naomi Wolfe to kick it off. Not a vintage radio week - the Archers has descended to absurdist chaos with a gay love quadrangle, and there has been some decidedly ropey drama.

Edwina Curry is on the radio now - she's been on quite a bit recently - you can tell she's had a lot of dental work recently - she's whistling and lisping her words.

Despite never having posted anything - I seem to be collecting twitter followers, only one seems to be a sex worker - the others are young men in america who say a lot of prayers - I find this sinister.
