Up early, could reasonably have been much earlier - as the upstairs landing ceiling collapsed at about 3am. Neither dog was too fussed - Alfie slept through ( I doubt my neighbours did ) and Little Mouse waited ten mins before a cursory investigation.
It was 'proper' dark at 5.30 when I got up - depressing. It's still muggy and horrible. A couple of thins in the garden have put on late growth spurts - including the bay tree and the Photinia - quite happy with that - harvested what I'm assuming will be the last of the rhubarb this year.
Loads to do today - just trying to wake up now - a quick dog walk before I start - and on with the day.
Watched a handful of Roger Corman / Vincvent Price horror films over the weekend - good fun and suitably gothic - and the Dr Who from Saturday which seemed to be more lucid and carefully written than before.
Reading the papers online - Oscar Pistorious does have a point, Alan Olivieria is 4 inches taller than he was this time last year.
