.. and, yes - I love Friday.
I'm in the office on my own today with a big stack of work to do - but that's OK - and it went really well yesterday - did some good, solid creative work that went the way it was suppose4d to.
Also picked up te keys to the studio and had a look around, really pleased with everything.
I'm probably not going to post over the bank holiday - I have something on - and I'm going to see The Mousetrap tomorrow in London - something I've always wanted to see - I shall let you know how I gets on.
A few good articles in the papers today, a mixed bunch - one in Praise of Frankie Boyle, another in praise of the Olympics promoting success through hard work and effort rather than instant TV celebrity.
I walked past an office building yesterday and the tannoy cracked, and I head a woman's voice saying 'hello, hello - is there anyone there'? - I went up to the tannoy and said - 'no, there is nobody here' - she replied 'are you sure?' I didn't have an answer for that.
Being silly season - there has been much mirt at the botched restoration f a small, insignificant and not very good ( or important0 painting in a church - the old woman involved decided to touch up the 'icon' and gor a bit carried away - making a bit of a hash of it. It's been reported in comic tones because her final result is, well - a bit shit. What amuses me is the bile thrown her way - these paintings are just metaphors and acts of faith - to help the people who worship in the church on their merry way to wherever - they shouldn't really have any fiscal value - does it matter of she made a bit of a hash of it - bless her - she was only trying to help, frankly - there is the spirit of The Chapmans about her - I think it's worth far more now.
