Despite the fact it was a beautiful morning, neither I, nor the dogs - were in the mood for the early morning 'big' walk - managed to get as far as Fairlight ad we came home, shuffling our feet for coffee and toast ( made from white bread.. Oh, the shame... )

Quite a lot to do today - mostly admin based - with 'propper' work to do tomorrow - but can't face that today. I'm also going to do more gardening and house clearance.

Did I mention that we had a buffet yesterday. You can always tell when the University are visiting - we get great food. The summer berries were piled up 6 inches high and filled a huge tray - probably for display purposes only. Beef, Ham, Chicken, Pasta, Rice, real salad with actual dressing..... staggering. Obviously I ate as much as possible. It would have been rude not to. My line manager whispered that he was considering taking one of the smart stainless steel trays to mix paints in his shed. I took one of the half melons stuffed with berries and fruit for our technician - a catering woman clocked me on the way out and gave me a really filthy look.

Last night I was too tired for anything practical and just ended up watching the first 20 mins of the Klaus Kinski version of Nosferatu and falling asleep. It's all a bit of an anti-climax at the moment. The college will be quiet for a week - and then it's the Private Views ( Next Friday ) and the shows will be open to the public for a few days. I have to start planning next year fairly soon - but not today.

Probably going to have a huge cull of my DVD / CD's over the weekend and take them down to the exchange - need to get rid of more dead weight.
