Another beautiful day. Walked the dogs into town - the Jerwood is now it's full size and they are starting to put the black ceramic tiles onto the outside, it looks great. The luxury hotel that they are building along from there at the base of the cliff also looks like it's really taking shape. I saw on a planning notice that The Bourne Hall is being converted into luxury flats - and the Ponders building is well on the way to being converted into a Cafe Nero. A year from now, everything will be very different... and hopefully much better.
Did a bit more in the garden. made the decision that, as it's going to be an awful week in every possible way. I'd take today off and try and get some mental equilibrium - I'm going to have to wake up tomorrow with firmly gritted teeth.
Really looking forward to seeing the story unfold over at News International - hopefully many heads will roll. Very little coverage of the fact that two horses died during yesterdays Grand National, how anyone can get pleasure from something so stupid is beyond me. There is no need to have horses jump - it's cruel and uncivilised.
I have the office window open - the dogs have started sleeping outside on blankets - and the sun is just starting to go down - this weather makes ( almost ) everything better.
