Monday Mourning

More popular culture carnage with the death of legendary Supervixen Tura Santana, and Gary Moore yesterday - 2011 is the year pop died.

On the dog walk I found a burnt out car on the counry park - no idea how it got there, rangers have already cordoned it off. Used top get that sort of thing all the time in Liverpool - don't really fancy it happening here.

Woke up at 5am in a good mood, but thanks to a slew of annoying emails before 8.30am I'm already in a really bad mood.

My local MP was on the telly yesterday talking total shite about factory farming and sustainability. She was a rambling and incoherent mess - it really did seem like someone was pulling strings and talking for her - the interviewer gave her a really easy ride, considering how poorly informed and confused she was - I don't think she could have memorised her lines properly.

Really busy week, I'm only working at home on Tuesday and I have the inaugural meeting of the Hastings Regenerationgroup on Monday - I'm on the committee and I don't really know what to expect there.

There are only 2 houses on my street that are rented - nobody works in either of them and they are similar to mine - but one has a much larger garden and the other is a semi with a large area to the side with parking, a yard and a terraced garden. They are both getting increasingly shabby - and the one a few doors away is starting to turn into a furniture dump - a telly, some furniture and broken exercise equipment, and now an old bedstead have all been dumped in the side garden. It looks terrible and makes my blood boil. Everyone I know who rents lives in a nicer house than me, including the ones that don't work.

I really don't like Mondays.
