Not exactly cold, as such... I'm working for much of this week - but only in administration etc and I can come and go as I please - I'll go in for about 10am and work through - should get quite a lot done.

Papers are dull. Liz Hurley has been looking like a rather deranged, out of condition old trout for some time now - looks like she's heading into her dotage in a less than dignified way - I've always imagined she lived in a slightly different universe to everyone else - I expect her to be on the scene for many years to come. Slightly overweight, heavily rouged, always in white with 6 inches of fat cleavage spilling over an expensive cocktail dress.

I went through the Xmas Radio Times yesterday - quite a dull experience. There are so many bad typographical judgments it was almost impossible to read. Just been warned on the radio that the weather will become apocalyptic again next weekend - leading to crisis-on-the-highstreet type shopping chaos and many people trapped over xmas in their show-bound cars, with only 'fun' jumpers and bumper tins of Quality Street to sustain them. Oddly enough... I saw no real Xmas style jumpers yesterday in the shops.... must be a comment on the state of the nation.

I must rejoice in the end of Scott Maslen's dancing career. I hate him. I hate his smug face and stupid, annoying, infantile manner. I hate the 'popular' boy attitude - I'm fucking delighted that for once in his life someone said NO to him. People like Maslen have been holding people like me back for years - I hope he gets the chop from 'enders and has to do double glazing adverts. cunt.

On the desk next to me is one of the Sunday supplements... it's cover is a life size portrait photograph of someone I know quite well... it's very disconcerting - I've never paid that much attention before but you can see every hair, pore and eyelash - I can probably see more detail than his wife.....
