Chopped Up

Looks like I'm having dental surgery tomorrow to remove my freak wisdom tooth and at least another impacted molar - after 20 years of grinding my teeth I've finally forced them out of the socket, the wisdom tooth was always a problem and stuck out at the back of my mouth, catching my other teeth on the other jaw when I ate and often pinching the inside of my cheek - I'll be really glad to get it all sorted. it's starting to hurt a bit now ( well.... it's only the nerve keeping it in place ) and eating is very difficult. I shall be coming home by taxi, an outrageous extravagance but a necessity.

Very, very cold day - shocking frost first thing, more expected. I am having a hearty pasta to fortify myself.

I was going to go last week before snowmaggedon - but yes, I should have gone before.

Good luck old chap, make sure they give you good drugs! Your head lolling around like a bladder on a stick, dribbling blood on your taxi ride home....

I'm going to demand a local - I can't face going under, I have nightmares about it already - can they give you a 'neck-up' epidural?

Good luck with the dentistry. The taxi isn't an extravagance but a necessity, however outrageously expensive it is. Since you're not driving, maybe you should ask for Valium?

they can give you VALIUM! Just tell them you're really, really nervous and you need calming down before they give you the local.......
I went to collect my friend Diane after a 'procedure', she was terrified so they gave her valium, she was passed out on a grass verge outside the hospital when I arrived but she was very, very happy.....
