4am...

Lemsip has really let me down - had hardly any sleep and a couple of fairly disturbing dreams.... so I'm sitting at a computer doing paperwork.

I don't have to be in until 1.30 today but I'm there until 9 - including week 9 of 10 in the evening class timetable. I have a load of written reports to get on with... but I have a feeling that if I look in my bag I will have left the notes at college. One of the problems I have is that the new studio computer is not compatible with my portable hard drive - it needs an expensive adapter ( that I would have to pay for myself ) and the laptop they gave me, which is what I'm supposed to use... has no software on it... making it totally useless... and it won't log on to my home network anyway.

What the fuck am I doing listening to a Pam Ayres comedy sketch show on the radio at this time of the day. I don't feel like World Service - it always makes me feel depressed for some reason.

Apparently, tomorrow  - the world will end as Britain is buried beneath 12 feet of snow.. personally I think we will be fine, but there will be no food in the COOP, just alcohol .

Very sad to hear about the death of Ingrid Pitt. I heard a very telling story about her ( I think it was on the special edition DVD of Wicker Man ). When they were filming the climactic scenes, the cast and crew would have to stand for hours on that wintery hilltop waiting for the right light - mostly just wearing cheesecloth. Britt Ekland wore a huge mink coat between takes, Ingrid Pitt had one too - but took it off and gave it to a freezing cast member and refused to take it back. Says it all.
