It's 5.30am and I'm off to Leicester - I went to bed last night reading about their economic profile for 2013/14. Nice.

I may rain here - it may rain there - In can't tell from the ambiguous forecast. At least it's a more comfortable journey than that trip to Scunthorpe last year - and part of it will be via the very fast Kings Cross train, and I think the London /Leicester is pretty nippy too.

I was in Brighton yesterday - the weather was lovely - everyone was in shorts and espadrilles, except me - of course. I never get it right.
