Wednesday

Last night I had the strangest dream. I dreamed I was dead - that's it - just dead. Dead people just hang around with nothing to do, occasionally bumping into other dead people. I spent a lot of time in libraries and riding tube trains reading newspapers - a bit bored, always slightly cold and generally unnoticed by everyone. Dead people don't sleep - I'd occasionally have a lie down somewhere when I was a bit tired - I'd wander around museums, go window shopping and spend a lot of time in W.H.Smiths flicking through magazines. Occasionally I'd see other dead people, equally bored - wave hello and exchange a few words, but there was never much conversation "doing anything interesting today?" - "thought I'd spend a few hours riding the circle line ". Being dead wasn't exactly boring, but uneventful - sometimes I'd let myself into peoples houses while they were at work and have a look around or visit places I'd been to as a kid to see if they were still the same - and sometimes go to the cinema. I think I quite liked it.

Worked in-house yesterday - finished at about 9, enjoyed it - I like working for them - very good work. Came home and mostly went to bed.

Small dog managed the astonishing feat of pissing in the house 5 times - a record, even for her, even when the door was open - I'm starting to think she's doing it to annoy me. Watched Monday's University Challenge - the posh team were smug, miserable and ugly - one of them looked a lot like Velma from Scooby Doo.

Have seen 2 houses with their xmas decorations up already, and several people with trees in their bay windows waiting to be decorated. One of the clients cheerfully admitted she started decorating the house in late October. I shall scour the shops for Easter eggs.
