Tuesday

Warmer, but still damp - and dark.

Yesterdays entertainment was provided in Morrissons. A group of 3 very confused Chinese or Japanese students approached me waving their phone that had a translation function - he wanted 'steak' -  which was a challenge - there were quite a few on display, he settled for sirloin - then after much soundless debate over sie, seasonings and how to cook - I ended up pantomiming how to cook a steak - in a busy supermarket - convinced that it was a Candid Camera sketch. They were an odd bunch - a dumpy bloke who did all the 'talking' - an angry and confused looking girl and a skinny, very groomed young boy with a floppy fringe and french nails who was clearly the partner of the dumpy boy. He became particularly agitated when I showed them a packet of beef casserole seasoning - clearly wanted a pan fried steak. I hope he doesn't use too much pepper.

My 'cow' impression didn't work - the horns probably made me look like Satan.

Worked at the studio yesterday - putting together the design work for a publisher to pitch to a radio personality for his new book, managed to get that in the courier on time - despite the challenges of having to hand make everything as the double sided printer wasn't working. Working in-house today and potentially for the rest of the week. Have a few invoices to write, a couple of small bits of work to complete - and it's all down-hill to the weekend.

My Saturday will be spent at St Mary In The Castle at a Billy Childish gig. Looking forward to that - lovely old building with an uncertain future.
