Clear, but much colder today - it's bonfire night here on Saturday ( we have an alternative calendar in Hastings ) - the weather is just right for it.,

I was in the pound shop yesterday - some years ago, The Independent Newspaper ran a scheme where they published a series of 'banned' books - you could buy them for £3.50 each - well designed and presented in harback - everything from 'Last Exit To Brooklyn' to 'Metamorphosis' and 'Madame Bovary' - the pound shop is selling off te stock at x2 for £1 - 50 p each - great value - the only one I couldn't find was 'Lolita' - which must have sold out.

I also went to the council tip with more crap from my loft, in conversation it appears that the brand new - 3 week old rubbish tip must move again because they built it on a marsh and it's sinking already.

I also managed to get in a trip to Lidle and bulk bought dog food - about a months worth. I also bought a load of Malvi Solo Garlic, which is a single clove garlic - so no messing about, very tasty and easy - you can only get them in Lidle here.

Looks like I'm going to take the rest of this week off - I'm slowly settling into a bit more of a relaxed mode. Dunno what I feel guilty about - everyone else takes time off.

The big dresser I bought at the weekend arrived - it's a perfect fit and looks great, apparently it came from a baker in Peasmarsh - it has removal labels on the back going back 100 years - more practical than decorative - very pleased with it - but staggeringly heavy.

I a weak moment yesterday I agreed to walk someone's dog whilst they have a house viewing - so if anyone sees me wandering aimlessly about the West Hill with a small, fairly camp looking King Charles Spaniel - don't judge me...

Later today I'm going to go through all my tools ( there are loads ) and get rid of anything that's not worth keeping, I am also one of those people who keeps scraps bits of cabling and old sections of copper pipe. A bit of a burden, eventually.

Sorted out loads more books to move to the studio - I also need to write a couple of invoices - which I mad decide to do there - rather than here, but I think I'll wait until I have the screen over there.
