I took the day off yesterday and did nothing, except cycle to Bexhill. I had considered cycling to Dungeness but it was fairly windy and that would have been exhausting - so I went the other way. There is a decent cycle path to Bexhill along the shore now - and the weather was just right - not too sunny. Quite a bit of wind off the sea, but not enough to make it too difficult to pedal. Bexhill is only a few miles away anyway so it took no time. I'd woken up tired and bad tempered - but by the time I'd put a couple of miles distance between myself and the house - I felt much better. Wandered around the legion charity sops in Bexhill, the aged demographic of middle class retiree's meant it was a riot of Daks, Balmain, Saville Row and M&S - and had a poke about at the De La Warr. Met a friend on the way back - looked at a bad art event and had a cup of tea in St Leonards. I went to bed at 7.30pm.
I see that the Football has started, our 'brave' spoilt, self important, millionaire heroes managed a draw against the.. erm... Ukraine. As someone pointed out - if they lost, they should have been forced to live on the same wages as the Ukraine team - that might have motivated them a bit more. After weeks of seeing amateur athletes at both Olympics, football is quite hard to stomach.
I seem to be attracting large numbers of hookers on Twitter...
Curious how much bile there is thrown at Apple, on the day that the most successful, richest and influential company in te work launches a raft of new products - the papers are full of 'Apple have lost it' stories.
