Saturday

Up early - the last week has been pretty nippy in the mornings, you can really feel the change in season. It's much cooler at night too - I'm probably going to pick up a bigger duvet later today.

Worked really hard this week - couple of things went to print and something else going tomorrow, including some more illustrations. They are annual reports so I can't post pics yet - but I will.

Have been battling with a really difficult client but I think we've made progress.

Was in the British Heart Foundation shop yesterday - there was a great Yves St Laurent suit in navy Blue for 25 quid, slightly too big - but I bought an Austin Reed one for 20 quid, much better fit, lovely. Picked up a nice wool scarf and some books. I know that the people who work there are volunteers, but sometimes you have to wonder how they get through life - I was served by one person who simple couldn't cope with the intellectual and emotional challenge of putting a book in a bag.

Fell a lot better than yesterday after my dental trauma - it's starting to heal a bit and is sore - still not allowed to brush my teeth and have to use a mouthwash that A, stains teeth if over used and B, can't be used in conjunction with toothpaste - seriously... where's the sense in that?

Have been invited out to an event later - can't face it - and a wedding reception, ditto.

I am having a day off today - working tomorrow and at the hospital again on Monday, then a presentation on Tuesday - again in London, and working for a client in Brighton on one day next week.

I'm going to try and get to Morrissons later, they have cheap bedding, and look again at the reduced Garden plants in ESK.

Found out yesterday, by accident - that someone I used to be in a (frankly, pointless ) relationship who owed me a great deal of money ( but always promised to pay me back, yawn ) has sold their house and moved away. People never fail to let you down.

I paid off a little bit of my mortgage yesterday, only £1000, bit it was a major triumph for me - I can pay off up to £5000 extra in total during the fixed rate period - only 4 to go, and 4 years of fixed rate left - quite keen to get ahead of myself.
