Worked really hard yesterday, got loads done, then watched an old University Challenge on iPlayer.... rock and roll.
Two specific pieces of work to do today - and neither very exciting. Dull news and hotter than is comfortable already at 6.30am. The dogs woke up at 4am and started barking at something, and I have a bad back. Pulled out my old copy of A Kind Of Loving last night and will try and read some later this week.
Reading about the bloke with the plastic heart - that's quite a big deal, walking around with no actual heart inside you... and the Italian bloke who was struck by lightening and killed , whilst scattering his brothers ashes.
The only other thing of interest is that 'Twitter' is now worth as much as M&S... makes very little sense to me - M&S has hundreds of stores, millions of pounds in stock, machinery, vehicles and actual infrastructure - and employs thousands of people selling real products. Twitter employs a handful of people - it's 'worth' is based on it's consumer usage alone - and we all know how fickle they are. If something else comes along, or fashion changes, or people 'go off' twitter -it's over, and has no value - can't even have a closing down sale. It's employees will take their skills with them when they leave - and there will be nothing but blank screens... I think we've been here before.
