Sunday

Didn't go out last night - decided to got o bed early - but ended up watching 'The Tower Of London' with Basil Rathbone and Vincent Price ( Brilliant ) and then 'Fall of the House of Usher'.

Technically - today and tomorrow are the last days of my 'holiday. Might cycle to Bexhill and have a look at the big Halfords there - see if they have any decent handlebars for the new bike. There is also a Wickes and I need to price up the timber cladding and see about home delivery.

The papers are pretty dull, there is a long article in the daily Mail about Gail Porter and her 28 day section after a recent breakdown. Most of the article is fairly interesting and from her own perspective - but they ruin it by starting off with a 20 year old picture of her naked and constantly refer to her 'shocking fall from grace' and reiterate constant;y how 'shocking' her situation is - 'considering how successful' she used to be - as if being on the telly and having nice tits is really the only important thing in life and everything should be judged against it. There is another interview with Duncan Jones trying really hard to convince that having David Bowie as a father has never helped him in his career as a film director....

Lots of post mortems over the events of the last week, plenty finger pointing and name calling, one of the longest and most detailed news stories is an 'important' investigation into Jimmy Choo shoes and the revelation that they usually only last one wear. They have a photograph of Jimmy Choo, who hasn't owned the company in years and has no connection with it - and a lot of mindless babble from women who honestly thing £500 for a pair of shoes is acceptable.

I was planning on some gardening today - I might just do a bit of re-potting, the garden is very overgrown - but oddly enough.. I quite like the way it looks.
