I went out for a quick drink last night and ended up getting far too drunk for my own good, so least said about that... the better. As a concequence - I'm having a very quiet day at home.
Took the dogs up to North Seat to blow away a few cobwebs, after last night rain it was very clear - could see for miles, including some of the display planes at Eastbourne airshow - a few jet fighters flew over last night.
I took an old medical chart from the 1930's down to Butlers - I bought it in Preston about 6 years ago for £10 and it sold in less that 10 mins for £130. If I could drive I'd get a van and just run up and down the country once a month buying stock. It ended up selling to the son of the film director - Alan Parker, there are a lot of people like that living here. A website last week did a thing about the 50 most famous people in the arts living in Hastings and St Leonards, they didn't even scratch the surface - I wasn't one of them.
The woman who owns Butlers is putting some new stock in -including the entire knitwear sample archive from Margaret Howell's sister - I had a very quick peek - there are some great men's knitted sleeveless pullovers in Fairisle patters - looking forward to having a proper look through them.
Going to go through my books later - some will be donated to the college - some to the charity shop - there are an absurd number of books here - and I need to prune them down a bit - I'll be doing the same thing with the CD's next week - and probably having another boot sale run with give-away prices.
Supposed to be going to a barbie at a friends beach hut later, down on Bulverhythe - not 100% sure about it yet..
Jet fighter just flew low over the house at high speed - scared the shit out of the pigeons and every dog in Ore is now barking.
