... no, really. Having time off kills me. I think I read about this once - you work hard and fantasise about doing nothing - and when the time comes you go into a physical collapse. That's why so many of us self employed types are ill at Xmas or when we go abroad, nobody pays us to be ill. Really am generally fucked today, could have spent the day in bed quite happily.
That twat Cameron has already managed to piss me off - it's all apparently 'the police's fault' - I knew that would happen. It's typical of the 'big society' we now live in - everything is someone elses's fault. If a mother kills a child - it's the fault of social services, if a gang of scum smash up a shop - it's not their fault, the police are somehow to blame. If one of my students fails their course - no matter what we do - it's the tutors fault. Nobody takes responsiblility for their own actions, nobody cares much about working or earning, everyone wants instant reward and gratification without effort. There would never have been riots if they were holding the auditions for X Factor - everyone would be queued up demanding their right to be rich and famous by Xmas.
That reminds me - Big Brother is back soon - I'm so glad I don't have a telly, I read in the paper that one of the contestants will be Barbara Bach - former Bond girl, wife of Ringo Star, about 70 and famously a struggling alcoholic - the only reason I know who she is, is because I'm a 45 year old nerd who watches films rather than goes out socially - I can't imagine how humiliating it's going to be for her to in a room with Kerry Katona for 6 weeks... not can I understand why....
That article I found about narcissists at work has caused quite a stir - I posted it to facebook and several people I know have printed it out and passed it around their respective offices, thanking me quietly for shedding light on a rather common problem....
At exactly 5pm, as it's my holiday - I cracked open a can of Carlsberg Export... just for fun - I'm pretending I'm on the Riviera.. pondering the view out of my office window... and the fact that my garden looks much better when I don't do any gardening.

Maybe the story about Shara Nelson stalking Pete Tong will make you feel better. Made me laugh, anyway.
