Bexhill

Cycled to Bexhill, against the wind - and in the rain - but by the time I got to the top of Galley Hill it was clear and fine, and I could watch The Red Arrows in formation over the bay at the Eastbourne Air Show. Bexhill itself was a bit of a disappointment, as the whole colonade area in front of the De La Warr has been dug up for repaving and looks like a building site.

Went over to the retail park - I had a look in the big Halfords but the range was rubbish, so I'll stick to online purchases. I also went into Comet and PC world for the first time in years. Both empty - and no surprise, terrible layout, terrible collection of products, poor navigation and very difficult to engage with the information or prices.. I had a play around with an iPad - which was fun for 5 mins, but I honestly have no idea why I'd ever buy one. I also looked at the Mac Book Air - which I don't like... too thin, I don't like the taper - and to light. I did like the 13inch mac Book Pro - but I don't have £999 hanging around waiting for an opportunity to be spent.

Cycled back - lots of people about in Hastings enjoying the sea air - town looked busy with people escaped from Brighton. Made a deliberate decision not to go into any shops, which has paid off - I have spent no money. There is a mixed race bloke with a few tatty dreadlocks who often busks in town - he is local and talks normally, I've heard him - but today he was channeling Bob Marley and singing Babylon's Burning in a very cod Jamaican patois

Going to have a healthy lunch and then do something practical for a couple of hours.

edit. I read this twice before I posted it to check it was OK, and then again a couple of hours later - when I noticed it was full of spelling mistakes... unless someone is sneaking on here behind my back and changing words... a spelling poltergeist.
