Just debating getting a bottle of cheap wine... it's my last night of 44-dom... tomorrow I shall be half way to 90. I might as well.
In the COOP earlier I found myself struggling to control tears of rage as I fought myself through hordes of selfish and blinkered women wit double buggies ( they must hunt in packs ) and over indulgent parents who think it's OK for their children to cause chaos and run around screaming, attacking displays and other shoppers. For some reason there were also 6 angry German lesbians who are probably from the camp site - all very dissatisfied with the dairy offer...vocally so.
There was also a woman who I have regularly seen stop the traffic by pushing her baby buggy into the road, despite the fact that there is a crossing 10 yards away - she seems to only be capable of crossing exactly perpendicular to her destination.
I was also horrified by yet another hike in prices, I'm talking about 20% on the price of eggs., the 'cheap' value eggs are now more expensive than the premium packs just 2 weeks ago.
Tonight I am having sweet and sour thanks to the prawns being reduced from £4 to £1. I also bough some very reduced Sushi - but it turned out that each of the carefully wrapped parcels contained only rice and vegetables - no fish whatsoever.
It has taken me all day to do work that I thought I could finish by lunchtime. Mostly admin - and included trying to persuade reluctant students to return large numbers of library books.
