I stayed up late last night re-drafting next years timetable to run over 5 days, have a meeting this morning at nine to figure out how to make it work in a room that is half the size of my usual one and with not enough plug sockets for all the computers. Should be interesting.
Once I get all that resolved - I have to write all the briefs in detail from the drafts I have already put together, add everything into the timetable and book the staff a year in advance - which is a nightmare considering they are all freelance and can never commit themselves.
Rained all day and all night - not complaining, but it was very unseasonal - cold and dark. I ended up wearing a jumper. The trees are very heavy with foliage - looking at the view most of the houses I would normally be able to see over the valley are hidden by leaves. If we get wind, it will bring a lot of them down.
I'll be out during the Parliamentary questioning of Brooks and the Murdochs, which suits me - I'll wait for the edited highlights. According to the early morning news - M senior is prone to losing his temper at things like this - should be something to look forward to, as the whole sorry mess now has it's own David Kelly moment. He could, of course, play the 'feeble old man' card..
I did get a lot done yesterday but I have one specific job that must be finished in the next 2 days and a lot of little ones that are also urgent - so I'll be working late again tonight. I could do with a break, but I can't really relax until I get paid - and it seems to be taking ages to get any money through... roll on the end of the month.
