Sunday.

The most exciting thing I did yesterday was fall through a rotten floorboard and badly hurt my leg. As it was downstairs I managed to fall about 4 foot down into the crawl space under the house. Scraped my shin very badly on the wood. Looks nasty, but not so bad ( after the initial pain went down ).

Watched 'The Social Network' last night - which I thought was excellent. I really like Fincher films and this was nearly as good as Zodiac. I thought it was really well put together and made something complex very accessible. I thought it was a bit disconcerting that something that happened in the very recent past could almost become an historic document - and I though the way they managed the flash forward and back was superb. The only bit I didn't like was the party scene at Henley - they never manage to get the 'English' quite right. Considering that everyone portrayed the film is still alive, obviously very rich and litigious... there must have been a lot of attention to detail by the legal people. I did a bit of checking online and the only person portrayed who had anything critical to say was the Character played by Justin Timberlake ( Shawn Parker ) who claimed that he was 'never that cool in real life'. He's still only 30.

Paperwork and admin today - quite a bit to do, but if I focus It will be quick. Staggeringly hot already. Am supposed to go to the America Ground celebration later but I don't fancy cycling with this leg - I'm going to take it easy until it scabs over properly.

Spent time in the garden yesterday ruthlessly culling anything I don't like the look of and moving quite a bit of stuff to bigger pots. Much of it could really go in the ground now but I'm going to wait until the garden is terraced properly. Trying to decide what to do with the strawberries, they did OK this year but tasted a bit strange - I may transfer them into much bigger tubs and give them another chance - they are proving impossible to kill.
