Saturday.

Started the day with a fantastic country walk with the dogs, scorching at 8am, everything green and lush- perfect blue sky and uninterrupted views to Beach Head, Eastbourne and over the Chanel to France.

The PV last night went very well - it was great to have the building used so well - hundred of people milling about around the walkways and every room full of good work. The New Build performs really well - every room was bright and light - made the work look better that ever. Everyone behaved well, most students made the effort to smarten up and make the most of things - and a good time was had by all. I work a lurid green V neck jumper in a kind of emerald green that you don't normally see - I was really pleased with myself until I saw a student wearing a very expensive dress in exactly the same colour - she looked mortified.

The students accidently bought alcohol free red wine - which was quite funny, as nobody noticed until the end when one person brought theirs back and insisted they put alcohol in it.

The staff went for a drunk afterward - which was lovely and much needed - we were all exhausted, and I had trouble getting up in the morning.

rose from Butlers bought me a bottle of Moet - which is lovely of her - I shall have to look for a special occasion.

Today, I did a bit of half hearted gardening - which mostly comprised of killing things, and took things easy. Going to have a nice, quiet night at home and watch The Social Network. I threw caution to the wind and bought a newspaper for the first time this year and I'm having chicken salad for dinner. Nice.
