Friday!

End of the bloody week, thank goodness.

Yesterday was non stop stress and running around and dealing with stressed people on the phone, and sacking a supplier. It was supposed to be a day off.

I also managed to run down to town and bought a months worth of toothpaste and soap from the pound shop, and picked up a copy of The Social Network for a fiver. Films without guns tend to get discounted fairly quickly. I also did a bit of scouting and discovered that Sainsbury's is actually a lot cheaper than COOP - their Innocent Fruit Smoothie is £4 for 2, COOP is £5. I also picked up some cut price chorizo, which seemed like a good idea at the time.

Had a very good evening with friends that included a chinese takeaway - first one I have had in at least 15 years - and left my wallet on the table in The Stag - where it remained until I went back and found it an hour later.

When I came home, had some very good news - one of my students is part of the New Blood exhibition in London, where all the best work from across design courses in the UK is on show - and was awarded a best in show - one of only 10 this year, that's pretty phenomenal - he also won a major international award last year - so we are all pretty chuffed. We are in competition with all the 'big' colleges with high profiles and big budgets - so thus is quite an achievement for little Hastings.

It's the private view tonight at the college - not looking forward to it this year - and I have to go in early for a fairly heavy meeting about changes etc.. not looking forward to that either. Found it very hard to sleep last night so I'm quite tired - and it's incredibly hot outside already.
