Sunday Morning.

Went to dinner last night on The Tackle way - fish pie, the constituents of which  had only had to travel up a flight of steep stone steps from boat to kitchen - and was superb - and a lovely ginger and something else cake by Rose from Butlers. A lovely time was had by all - a much needed release and spot of relaxation with nice, warm, funny, clever people.

I've already walked the dogs, have been attacked by gulls and started getting my head ready for work. I'm shortly going to have a copuple of boiled egs and then throw myself into design work.

It's the formal marking tomorrow and I'm a bit tense about it all - but I'm sure it will be fine. I really need a few days of - but that's not going to happen and I also have to figure out how I'm going to get through to the end of the month on no money - I'm bored with all that now.

The house is clean and tidy - the recent rain has given up a bumper crop of rhubarb but all the peas and beans failed. The 2nd batch of strawberries were better than the first and some of the more hardy cordelines have gone crazy.

Nothing interesting on the news or in the papers, quite a good Terrence Rattigan on the radio yesterday, there is also 'Black Narcissus' and 'On The Beach' on 4extra. Something to look forward to.
