Sunday

Up early, cooler - rain overnight, dogs refused to go for their walk etc. The papers are still milking every possible drop from the wedding, which I am now quite bored with. I suppose, it must be said - at least they seem to actually like each other ( for a change ) and it was very well organised - I watched an online documentary thing about the lace embroidery which was actually quite interesting and another about the symbolic flowers on the cake - it would have broken my heart if I'd gone to all that trouble and had to watch someone eat them.

It's Green Man weekend - there were drummers at dawn singing the sun over the sea and town will be full of people carousing and drinking - the parade is tomorrow. I'm going to a garden party in St Leonards and then for a meal after - I'm going to try and get a cheeky trip in to TK Maxx first.

They are banging on about the pope on the radio - not this one, the last one - they are racing ahead to get him made into a saint or an angel or something - a nun who insists she cured him of Parkinsons disease will be carrying 4 vials of his blood 'extracted in the last days of his life' - up to the altar to worship.... all a bit Dennis Wheatley, if you ask me.

Only 5 weeks left to half term... and another 2 day week...
