Sunday-on-Sea
I took the dogs out early, to Covehurst Bay - it was low tide and I thought it would be useful to wear them out. It was a bit blowuy and cooler than recently - but still very dry. There have been some emergency repairs to the cliff wald down so it's less risky getting to the beach - but if it rains, it may all come tumbling down again.
The dogs loved a couple of hours running about and now both stink of seaweed and clay. There were a lot of spooky mud flats where the very fine white clay oozed up from the cliffs and then dried out and has sat, petrified for weeks. I found a large pink, wild rhodadendron bush - about 20 yards inside an inpenetrable gores patch - probably why it's been able to thrive and survive unmolested.
Nobody else about as usual walked for a couple of mils and came back exhausted... I was probably more tired than they were.
Was introduced to this on the way home - the foundations of this house are still visible - and the remains of the iron ladder she climbs up - but apart from some sea beaten bricks - all gone now.

A great clip - but she must have had a few quid to move to Richmond.
