I'm not going to bother with Jack in the Green this year - it's cold and windy and I don't really want to be crushed to death by a 20 foot paper mache mermaid. I have loads to do and I'm off out later anyway. A town full of pissed people isn't my cup of tea. There will be about 30k motorcycles in Hastings, I could hear them all racing up and down the hill last night - another reason to stay home.
Went to a genteel garden party yesterday - I popped into TKMaxx first but realised I'd forgotten by bike lock - rather stupid of me, so didn't shop - perhaps next weekend.
The news has obviously been hijacked by by the death of Bin Laden. The Daily Mail are fronting with a picture of a corpse that has already been called fake by other news outlets, it's a terrible photoshop job and really obvious - but it is the Mail, who are probably already trying to tie this in with the postponement of the royal honeymoon.
In the COOP last night - the last 'normal' looking till boy has had his face pierced - although he was looking a bit uncomfortable and kept prodding it - I gave him a stern disapproving look - by the time I'd worked my way to the till he had taken it out and looked suitably chastised.
Last day of the long weekend - busy this week - and next - all the way trough to the summer... and then what? The revenue website still does not show my correct figures - I'm 100% certain they owe me about 200 quid but it's still saying I owe them 7K. I'm going to harangue them again tomorrow -m both of my Tax returns are correct and the online statements are exactly as they should be - but the bill is still up there with the faeries.
Did a big rhubarb harvest last night - which also included handing a load over to my neighbour via the garden fence, as you do.

Best of luck with HMRC which seems to be staffed by bullyboys liars & cheats trained by GE Capital Finance, suppliers of most storecards. I have five formal complaints ongoing but their letters to me take a month to arrive so action demanded by them is already three weeks too late by the time they are delivered.
