Thanks to hard work, determination and quick thinking I managed to complete a load of work and sent off invoices - and in return, was given the good ( and surprising ) news that I've been awarded a Scholarly Activity grant by the University to do a research paper that I proposed earlier in the year. It's not worth much and most of it will go on some trips to Leeds and possibly Liverpool - but it's a good thing.
I hope I get paid soon - I can't keep these bills hanging on and my funds are rapidly fading, but I did make the worlds best vegetable curry tonight - making far less sauce than usual so you could actually taste everything.
It's been 22 degrees today, and beautiful - makes a nice change. Still feel tired and as if I'm coming down with something nasty - but things have been worse ( like yesterday )

yeah - it was too hot for the dogs to go out in the afternoon.
