Yesterday was...

.. pretty exhausting. Topped off by a meeting about acronyms.

They have really messed up Masterchef - it's awful, looks like they have tried to turn it into X factor - terrible new reboot, trashy and crass. I think they are more interested in the people who can't cook and humiliating them in front of the public. The girl who cooked in a black cocktail dress and 'deconstructed' a trifle so that it was just acid coloured blobs of shit on a plate really needed to be sectioned. It's started to go the way of the original Masterchef with dreary middle class pouffs and stay home mums taking over and fussing over food. Wallace and Terrode have become cardboard cut-outs of themselves - just fatter and shinier.

Still stiff and sore after yesterdays tumble into a ditch. In my distress I forgot to take my security key card to work and in the end just gave up and propped all the doors open with fire extinguishers so I could get about without having to tap meekly on the doors. There was some kind of big hair and beauty event in the Atrium in the evening - lots of very groomed people wandering about and chairs and a stage erected. I made my excuses and left.

There will be rejoicing in the streets now that the frankly absurd concept of selling off our forests has been abandoned. I suggest selling off the Royal Family next. I could do with a bit of help around the house and I'm sure that Ann is used to getting her hands dirty.

I'm not teaching next week... I can't wait.
