Pretty whacked - it's been a really long week so far - non stop.
Had another bizzare dream including giant spiders, Zombies and shopping trolleys. Have to go to a meeting at the town hall first thing, my history of local political involvement usually ends in tears - but I'll reserve judgement until the shouting starts. I have a meeting at the college restaurant later and then I'm off out later tonight for a pint - teaching today and tomorrow and 4 days next week - then spending half term preparing for the IQER inspection - and then a solid slog all the way to summer. Teachng most days and trying to fit in freelance. Writing itall down helps me to remember what day it is.
Looking forward to a couple of days of pissing down rain - I shall adjust my wardrobe accordingly.
Having loads to do distracts me from the general grimness of everything, although it might have something to do with being 'that' time of the year. The Culture Show .returns today with PJ Harvey interview, that's something to look forward to. BBC's Sculpture season started last night and very good it was too - watching Alistair Sooke go dewy eyed is my idea of quality TV.
Papers are pretty dull, it's all Olympic Stadiums, death by bottom implants and student loans - no wonder I have nightmares. I was walking through town yesterday and saw an art exhibition by a grafitti artist had started taking shape in the House Of Hastings. The windows were full of bits of junk - to my horror I recognised some of it as mine - then remembered that it was stuff I'd sold at the posh boot sale last year.
