I was also reminded how angry Womens' Hour' makes me. Today's discussion about female stereotypes in computer games made me feel angry and violent. It didn't help that the bloke from the gaming industry was such a wet blanket and over compensated for the woman who wanted females in computer games to be more realistic.... I think she's missed the point about 'fantasy'.... to top it off - she chastised the computer guy because digital men are all strong, chiseled and have six packs, which she saw as acceptable - and then complained that all the women are either princesses or Lara Croft... Perhaps all computer games should be populated by nerds and shut-ins... would that make her happy? It's not real life, dear.... it's supposed to be an escape.
There is a truly awful dramatisation of the life of Queen Victoria on BBC6 - Imogen Stubbs playing her with all the gusto of Joan Crawford at her most hysterical - it's like Blackadder.
I've also had an email from Oprah Winfrey - advising me how to loose weight, one from Beyonce - advising me how to grow my penis, and another one from Jessica Alba - advising me on a new exercise regime. I didn't know these people cared so much.
