Too much weather

I'm sick of all this bloody rain, it's getting into my bones now and making me feel creaky - and all we have to look forward to is a temperature drop later this week. There is no need for the weather woman to be so cheery about it.

Yesterday was good - I've been working on an identity for a new venture in Winchelsea Beach. A friend has bought the Old Ship pub on Sea Road and is converting it into a bar, bistro, shop. They are going all out for the New England clap board look and have some fairly ambitious but well thought through plans. One of the clever things is the shop - all local produce and a quality butchery - with a 'Times Top Ten' listed resident butcher... seeing as there is only one in East Sussex, and without saying any more, it's not too hard to figure out that it's going to be popular.  They were really happy with all the branding work I've done - they just need to talk everything through with the investors and I can crack on with concrete work. I went over there yesterday, it's a really good spot and has a huge garden - they have already ripped out the insides and are getting ready for first build tomorrow. Tom is an expert micro manager and brilliant at planning. Anyone who saw him on Grand Designs building his house on Pett Level will remember how frustrating it was for Kevin McCloud that everything came in on time and well under budget. They have already planned the new gardens out in such detail he can identify every individual plant and there are going to be beach huts out the back. They have a large car park at the front and are going to have market gardens and guest spots from local nursery's ( that's plants - not child trafficking )

Rather than skipping a load of crap they just put it all in the car park at the front - a big board with handwritten 'for sale' and left it there - the whole lot went - people will buy anything - no matter what crap it is.

While I was there the marshes opposite were awash with twitchers and huge lenses, something rare from Scandanavia had been seen flapping about and the bird watchers have been in ecstasy ( tried to make a joke about tweeting but, it's too early in the morning ).

Today is apparently the most miserable day of the year. You have been warned.
