There is a tiny amount of snow outside, and apparently it's cold - unheard of at this time of year.... The news is hysterical, they have also rolled out all the health experts 'if an old person is in a room - and it's cold, the chances are they are cold too..." - I've also been informed by a doctor that 'it's soup at this time of the year, not the season for salads, because warm food can actually heat you up".... fascinating.

I'm trying to get used to this laptop, it's not easy.... I'm going to spend the afternoon trying to save my G5 from the redundant computer archive I have in the loft ( 3 power PC's and counting )

Went out for a couple of hours last nigh. Hastings was full of 'women of a certain age' who spend a lot on clothes and cosmetics - and hunt men in packs, they are like a school of white sharks.... I was quite scared. I was in the FILO... I still marvel that there has never been a terrible fire related accident.

I was going to go into town later, but I've decided to stay at home and be practical, I don't want to spend any money and I have things to do - there is cash in the bank and I get paid on Tuesday... but I owe it all to the revenue and I don't have much work on at the moment. Next week will be fairly busy at work - and I'm 'off' in a fortnight. Xmas has already been cancelled and I donated my xmas light to the college to decorate the staff room - which I shall now refuse to enter.

I'm vaguely thinking about going all continental and having 'brunch'....
