Saturday

I went out last night - fairly unusual - but I couldn't face Children in Need and I needed a break. I actually spent hardly any money - but as I hardly drink these days - I ended up with a hangover. I had a good time - despite every bar I went into havng students in it.

In the Dragon bar the two women at the next table were doing a fair impression of yummy mummy types on the pull - late 30's - dressed better than average ( the unlikely fake breast let them down ). They were both trying to pick up a bloke at the next table - which continued even after their boyfriends turned up, the main protaganist continues shamelessly - her beau was too busy staring at her tits and pawing her to notice.

One of the things I really like about Hastings is how diverse and weird the mix usually is - and last night was a peach. Lots of very odd types mixed in with something for everyone.

There are already quite a few xmas decorations up by me - one house on Clive Vale already has an illuminated garden. I just don't understand this - Xmas is already about a week 2 long, most people want to go back to normal life after boxing day, why would you want to pack in an extra 6 weeks?

I realised earlier today that I'm the first member of my very large family to go to University, and probably the least successful in financial terms...although I suspect I am the happiest, Going to college gave me the freedom and self determination I needed to have a life. If I'd been cheated of that - I don't know where I'd be now... but it wouldn't be very good place.
