Greater Horrors

Tuesday Morning - another inch of frozen death has fallen from the skies. Over a quarter of my class failed to attend yesterday... and frankly I was a bit disappointed. I'm not going to complain today - I have loads to do, and like everyone else on the staff - I'm really tired and run down and looking forward to the end of term. That flu/cold thing is effecting everyone and the atmosphere is quite grim.

I still have masses of paperwork to do - and my G5 at home died again this morning. it looks like it's going to have to go 'into the shop' - or whatever. I'm really dreading it - I can't afford to replace or repair. I'm back on my laptop and not liking it - I have another, new laptop coming to me this week with CS5 on it - but I'd rather work on a desktop machine. I could go out and buy a new mac but that money is for the inland revenue and they won't like it.

It was actually really cold last night - but I was so tired I went to bed early, straight after University Challenge. I'm pretty whacked again this morning and I'm walking to work again - I'm not risking my bike on the roads and this new snow has fallen on frozen slush and black ice.... so it's going to be a horrible walk. They don't grit here at all - there was no grit even in central Hastings except outside the Sainsburys. I'm probably going to have to wear my hiking books and cary another pair of clean shoes, the new Principle is apparently going to wander around today and look at the department... not looking forward to that.

I get over 3 weeks at xmas - which isn't actually a holiday, it's the time when I am supposed to earn money to live on - and at Xmas... that's not going to happen.... is it....
