Friday.

I woke up at 2am after a very strange dream where work had been transfered to military command and it was being run as a giant experiment. This included being forced to grow different kinds of cress on the window sills in all the rooms to see which one worked best.....

I'm really glad it's Friday - I've managed to secure a couple of special guests to come in and do some work with the students... I hope they appreciate it.

I have a feeling that the loose tooth I have been grinding on for 25 years is about to drop out today, it's actually moved position and is really loose - I dunno what is holding it in. Once it's gone its going to make my life much easier - it's the one tooth that catches on the others, which is probably why I grind on it.

The big computer in my office is behaving really badly and I think it's on the way out. I'm really concerned about it - I cannot afford 2-3k for a new G5 and all the new software, in fact I can't afford a laptop case - so I don't know what I'm going to do. major back-up tomorrow and I'll have a look at restoring the hard drive... perhaps it's just caught a cold. To be fair - it's been on 12 hours a day for 5 or 6 years and has been running high end graphics packages constantly - it's never once let me down.

News is boring. It's not snowing and it isn't even that cold indoors. I still have not had any heating on - I'm going to wait until xmas before I even consider it. We didn't have heating when I was a kid, and I've never lived anywhere with central heating, I hate it - it sucks the life out of you.

I've arranged to go out for a couple of drinks later but I'm not going to drink much - I have a lot to do tomorrow and beer doesn't really agree with me anymore.
