It's amazing to think anyone was ever fooled by the images in the following post, but then - I suppose photography was still rather challenging to many people. I don't believe in ghosts - I never have, they don't make sense. They are a human invention - nothing wrong with that, as such... just figments of our imagination or projections from our subconcious. They make wonderful and exciting fiction - but they are not really there. Most of us have been indoctrinated with a sense of the 'other' since modern society and self knowledge began - as soon as we started to get a sense of ourselves we started looking at 'other' - and it's compensation when we see someone die that we can project a new life for them. I've been involved in greyhound rescue for years and there are many, many rational and lovely people who have a very real sense of where greyhounds go when they die, they call it 'over the bridge' ( working dogs generally have horrible lives and die cruel and unneccessary deaths - so it's only human to invest some form of man made compensation - guilt, innit ). People come up with silly rubbish about a headless lady who haunts the spot where she was cruelly done to death etc, but nobody ever says Aushwitz is haunted - I'm sure it has more cause to be.
It's like time travel - it's not possible now - nor will it ever be.... and besides - someone from the future would have come back and told us. Science allows that it's physically possible to move forward in time relative to a specific point in space... if you travel further and faster than is strictly practical - but the gain is tiny and you have almost no real control. Again, it's just a fiction. Ghosts, god, time travel and Nessie.... I'm beginning to think that the supreme human achievement is an episode of the One Show.
